What is 12 Tone?
12 Tone Productions is owned and operated by myself
(Rex Gibson) out of New York City (in the oh so tragically hip neighborhood
of Williamsburg) and St. Louis, MO. 12 Tone is both a music production
company and an Information Technology company.
Music: For music
production 12 tone has both a Protools Mix+ system and Digital Performer rig with a functional collection of
mics and outboard. Check out the music
section for my compositions and production work.
Software/IT: I have worked in IT Since 1998. I have a wide range of experience in application management and development. Skills include Database Management, Web Development, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning.

Bio
I have a B.M. in Jazz Studies with an Emphasis
in Music Technology from Webster University in St. Louis. I started
playing piano at age 6, got my first Apple IIE when I was 8, picked
up the saxophone and copied my first program out of a book at 10.
I have worked in the construction, entertainment,
and non-profit and financial industries. I have worked for companies such as the Metropolitan Opera, Bridge Information Systems, Metropolitan Life Insurance, and Alberici Construction.
TECH: I currently work at the United Nations as a Database Consultant. You can see one of the applications I manage here.
MUSIC: I work out of Shabby
